What is Mesothelioma

mesothelioma is a type of cancer which is caused by revelation or exposure to asbestos.Asbestos is a fibrous mineral which are metamorphic and are hydrous magnesium silicates.In this disorder,hurtful or malignant cells develop in the mesothelium. Mesothelium is a shield lining that wraps most of the human body's inner organs.Its most common regular place is pleura(the lungs are surronded by two thin layers of tissue calledthe pleurae).There is also a chance for it to occur in the peritoneum(the lining of abdominal cavity) or the pericardium(a sac that surrounds the heart).Most people who develop mesothelioma have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles, or have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibre in other ways, such as by washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos, or by home renovation using asbestos cement products. Unlike lung cancer, there is no association between mesothelioma and smoking.
